Ghost Tour of Baldwin City
Home to the first 4 year college in Kansas, Baldwin City
features unique tales of history and haunts! Established in
1858, Baker University is one of the highlights of the tour,
with stories of death by fire and theatrical ghosts. Visitors
will learn about the historic train depot and the ghost cats
that roam the grain elevator.
Tour includes school, battlefield and cemetery as well as
local businesses. Tour departs from the Wooden Spoke
Restaurant at 8PM. Please wear comfortable shoes and
clothing; due to the sensitive nature of the tour age is
limited to 12 and over.
This is a tour that features the history and haunts of
Baldwin City. If you are looking for a hard-core paranormal
experience like those seen on TV then an investigation
might suit your needs.
Tour Guides
Tom Plumburg has many years of high senior level business management and consulting as well
as published numerous articles business and investment topics. He has an abiding interest in
history, science and languages. Subsequent to his first retirement he has started an insurance
brokerage business with his daughter, Jane. His interest in history has prompted him to work with
us as a researcher, writer of scripts and a tour guide
Cedar Young teaches flying at Vinland Valley Aerodrome, just outside of Baldwin, and is an
adjunct faculty member at Baker University. He is a graduate of the University of Kansas and is a
published author on marketing and legal issues. He is a Kansas history buff.
