Ghost Tour of Independence, Missouri
Established in 1827, Independence is known for its most
famous son, President Harry S Truman and for being the
hub of the trails that leading towards westward
expansion. Independence also has a mysterious side;
that of the paranormal. Ghost tours of Independence
feature stories from the courthouse, town square, jail and

Lexington. Age is limited to 12 and over; please wear
comfortable shoes and clothing.
This is a tour that features the history and haunts of
Independence. If you are looking for a hard-core

Carla Cole
Carla comes from a diversified background. She has a BS degree in Management, and a
Master's Degree in Special Education, emphasis in Behavioral Disorders. Carla is also a
sports announcer, covering primarily college events in the Midwest. Currently working as a
Remax Real Estate agent, she has had the opportunity to go into several homes believed to
be haunted. She loves the history she learns in these homes, and is anxious to share with
you in the paranormal history she has learned about the city of Independence, MO.
Billie Cole
Carla and Billie Cole team up not only as tour guide and assistant, but also as step-mother
and step-daughter. After graduating from Wayne State College with a degree in Counseling,
Billie moved to Independence from Nebraska in 2010 to work on her Master's degree in
Marriage and Family Therapy. Billie loves exploring haunted places-but she still makes
Carla check under the bed before sleeping at night.
